About Takanaka Vibes
Takanaka Vibes is an independent Masayoshi Takanaka fan archive and information resource created by @takanaka_vibes on Instagram.
After discovering Takanaka around 2018–2019 through the Rainbow Goblins concert on YouTube, I quickly became obsessed. Wanting to learn more, I searched online and soon discovered that, like many fans at the time, finding information about Takanaka was relatively difficult. It required a lot of digging through various dated Japanese websites (and plenty of copying and pasting into translation tools).
I remember searching in the hope that a fan page or website would eventually appear containing everything I had been looking for, but it never did. So, in 2023, I decided to create @takanaka_vibes. The goal was simple: to create the very thing I had spent years hoping to find. A page where information about Takanaka’s gear, history, news and more could be shared in one place.
Over the years, I have met many dedicated fans, ranging from overseas listeners to Japanese fans who have followed Takanaka since the late 1970s and even attended concerts we now look back on as legendary. With their help, I have been able to discover so much about Takanaka. Without them, I would not be able to share much of the content I post.
With so much fascinating information and archived media now accessible to the community, I decided it was finally time to create this website and bring everything together in one place for fans around the world to enjoy easily.
The contributions featured throughout this website come from many dedicated people within the community. All contributions are credited, so keep an eye out for them!
